WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) – Meteorologist Dean Jones says the cold front that moved across Kansas last night combined with cloud cover will contribute to a “cooler” weekend by July standards.
A few lingering showers and storms across western Kansas early this morning, will likely dissipate by mid morning hours. Skies will remain mostly cloudy until the afternoon. A light northerly breeze will usher in relatively drier air too, making it feel more comfortable if you’re planning a day outdoors.
A weak upper-level disturbance will bring another chance of showers and storms to south-central Kansas during the late afternoon and evening hours. Expect afternoon highs in the lower to middle 80s, which is about five to ten degrees below normal for this time of year…
