WICHITA, KS – July 14, 2025 – The Wichita Police Department (WPD) is renewing its plea to the public for information regarding the whereabouts of 38-year-old Brent Cruz, who is wanted in connection with a 2022 homicide investigation and failed to appear for his trial.
Cruz was formally charged with second-degree murder and criminal possession of a weapon in the shooting death of 31-year-old Nyron Bowen on April 24, 2022. According to the Sedgwick County District Attorney’s Office, Cruz was previously released from police custody after meeting the requirements for a $500,000 bond.
