The popular television show “Arrested Development” had The Banana Stand.Wichita now has The Burrito Stand.
The little business within a business opened a week ago inside the “Little House” that sits on the patio directly west of the Shamrock Lounge, a longtime Delano bar owned since 2018 by “Arrested Development “ fan Justin Brown.
For years, Brown has used the house as a place where his bar patrons could pick up dinner, and he’s welcomed a variety of different pop-up vendors to set up there. Most recently, the house’s recurring pop ups have been Angie Bence’s Angie’s Tacos and More, which offers tacos, burritos and nachos on trivia night every Wednesday night; and Jill Polley’s Jack’s Snacks pop-up that offers a variety of different dinner specials on Thursday nights, which always feature an open jam.
But Brown says he’d like the Little House to serve food every night the bar is open, so he decided to finally move forward with a plan he’s been working on since the beginning of the year: starting his own burrito pop up…
