Storm chances for the rest of the week

WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) – Widely scattered storms are on the way for the remainder of the week, with the best odds coming Thursday with a weak system that will pass over Kansas. Severe weather threats continue to look very low, but given how humid the air is, heavy rain and flooding could be threats.

A few storms are possible over western Kansas into Wednesday morning. However, much of the area will be dry to start the day and highs will reach the 90s once again. Look for scattered storms Wednesday evening across western Kansas, but by Thursday morning, those will have moved into central and eastern Kansas.

Thursday afternoon will bring another round of storms with highs in the 80s and low 90s. Some rainfall will be heavy, mainly in the evening…
