WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) – Several showers and storms will develop into the evening and overnight across central and southern Kansas. The humidity remains very high and that will translate into heavy downpours as the storms will be slow to move.
There will be some severe weather threat on Friday, mainly along and east of I-135. Large hail, gusty winds, and more torrential rainfall will be a possibility through the afternoon and early evening.
High temperatures will be in the 80s through Friday, but it does get hotter over the weekend with high pressure building into the region. Look for sunshine Saturday and Sunday with highs getting back into the mid 90s. Heat indices on Saturday will be near 105 and around 103 for Sunday…
