WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) – A Wichita mother is raising her voice against gun violence after her 19-year-old daughter survived a shooting that left her with a traumatic brain injury and beat the odds to take her first steps again.
Chavella Andrade got the call at 2:12 a.m. on May 3. Her daughter, Jenyiah, had been shot in the shoulder and head. Doctors gave her 48 hours to live.
