Monday night storms, temps warm back up

Below average temperatures continue into the new week. Even though the afternoon will be warm, at least it will not be too toasty.

A cluster of storms to the northeast is being monitored. It could skim our area through mid to late morning.

After that chance, more storms are expected tonight. They will get started to the northwest.

There is potential for storms tonight to be strong to severe. Southwest Kansas will need to be aware too.

The risk of tornado is low but not zero. Please have the volume up on your phones just in case you are included in any weather alerts or warnings.

Storms tonight will track southeast into Tuesday morning. Any storms that survive through tomorrow morning should be gone by the afternoon.

High temperatures in the 90s will begin to creep back into the area Tuesday.

Another chance for storms Tuesday night does not look great and most of us should be dry.

A chance for storms Wednesday will mainly be to the north and east. We will still need to keep an eye on the rest of the area due to a chance for isolated strong to severe storms.

Temperatures will be toasty the rest of the week. Thursday and Friday will be dry before storm chances return over the weekend.
