WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) – It’s almost time for one of Wichita’s favorite summer traditions, the Kansas Humane Society’s Dog Days of Summer Pool Party!
The event will be held on Monday, Aug. 11, at the College Hill Pool, located at 304 S. Circle Dr.
Dog owners are invited to let their pooches wade, swim, and splash in the public pool before it’s drained for the season. Small dogs (under 20 pounds) will have access to the pool from 5:30 to 6 p.m., while large dogs will have the pool from 6 to 7:30 p.m.

The pool features a shallow, zero-depth entry, and the water’s chemical levels are safe for dogs. However, as chemicals are reduced, it’s not safe for people, so owners should only enter the water up to their knees. Children are not allowed in the pool during dog swim times…
