There has been a big spike in overdose cases in Wichita. Police say they’re up more than 35% from the same time last year. But they also say fewer people are dying thanks to life saving resources and more awareness.
WPD released new numbers Tuesday that show 618 non-fatal overdoses so far this year, up from 455 at this time last year. That’s a 36% spike. While those numbers are staggering, so are the stories.
