Arrest made in southeast Kansas homicide

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) – The Kansas Bureau of Investigation said an arrest was made in a murder in Stark. The incident occurred on Saturday at approximately 6:43 p.m. at 307 S. Washington.

When deputies arrived, they observed blood on the front porch. They later found the victim, Scott Stevens, 65, of Stark, dead. The Neosho County Sheriff’s Office requested KBI assistance around 8:51 p.m.

The investigation led to the identification of the suspect, whom the Bourbon County Sheriff’s Office arrested at his home without incident.
