The 47-year-old Wichita man who was wanted in a fatal shooting Monday night outside of Wesley Medical Center killed himself during a standoff Tuesday at a north Wichita apartment, police spokesperson Andrew Ford said.
The call started around 1 p.m. on Tuesday in the 2300 block of North Somerset, which is near 21st and Amidon. Officers had gone to the address in search of Robert John Schoenberger Jr., who police said was wanted in the death of his ex-wife, Terri Stidham, and was considered armed and dangerous.
Schoenberger was pronounced deceased at 4:47 p.m. after a drone found him inside the apartment with a self-inflicted gunshot wound, Ford said…
