Hot Sunday, isolated storms over western Kansas

WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) – Meteorologist Dean Jones says that hot weather will continue for a few more days, then a cold front will bring heat relief by mid week.

Under sunny to partly cloudy skies this afternoon, highs will reach the mid 90s. South winds will gust up to 25 miles per hour. The heat index will range from 100-104 across central and eastern Kansas from 2mp to 8pm this evening.

Isolated thunderstorms will be possible Sunday afternoon and evening over portions of western Kansas. Some additional storms will be possible late Sunday night into Monday morning across north central Kansas, however will remain very isolated and not severe. The overall threat of severe weather will remain low with any storms that develop for the rest of the weekend…
