Wichita Police Arrest Man in Fatal Hit-And-Run That Killed 14-Year-Old

A 19-year-old man is arrested in connection to a fatal hit-and-run that killed a 14-year-old boy last week.

14-year-old Jackson Nzabonimpa died last Wednesday when a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed struck a utility pole, causing it to hit the boy as he was standing on a nearby sidewalk. Jackson died at the scene on the same day he had finished his first day of high school.

Police arrested 19-year-old Gauge Brasher on Friday after he fled the scene of the accident. Brasher is suspected of driving under the influence of alcohol or narcotics at the time the fatal accident occurred. He has been charged with second-degree murder in the case…
