Select spots will pick up a few storms this evening. The strongest will be over our northwest counties who are currently under a Slight Risk. Other storms will fester near the Kansas/Oklahoma state line.
Some storms into the overnight will be capable of producing strong wind gusts that could be damaging. Hail cannot be ruled out along with brief heavy downpours.
This disturbance will keep rainy rumbles popping as it tracks across the state into Tuesday morning. The Wichita Metro may pick up some of this activity closer to dawn before this batch departs.
Overnight lows will drop to the 60s in the west with the 70s in the east.
High temperatures are starting to come down. Tuesday afternoon, much of the area will favor the upper 80s and 90s.
Another round of scattered showers and storms will develop during the second half of the day across much of the state.
Some of this rainfall will be heavy. Also, damaging wind gusts and some small hail are also on the table.
Temperatures will trend near to just below the norm from Wednesday through Friday.
Next chance for storms tracks into northern Kansas late Friday night. This boundary will linger over the weekend, sparking more showers and storms before clearing the area early next week.
Highs will drop further behind this feature. Highs by Sunday will be in the 70s to the lower 80s. Temperatures look to start the new workweek in the 70s!
