Cooler weather – more rain in sight

WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) – Some areas have had much needed rain, but it has been very spotty and our chances will end heading into the middle of the week. However, a changing weather pattern will bring more rain and storms to the region starting this weekend. And huge temperature changes are not far off either.

Overnight, a cold front will push the chance for storms out of the region as lows fall into the 60s. Wednesday will bring sunshine and highs near 90 with light winds.

Thursday and Friday will be rather warm with highs near or into the low 90s. The heat will be short lived because a cold front arriving Friday night will usher in some early fall weather and showers and storms will impact the area into Saturday morning. Right now, much of the rain will depart by the afternoon, but chances increase for more rain coming up on Sunday…
