More rain coming to Kansas midweek

WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) – After some widespread, soaking rains in western Kansas to kick off the week, a break is coming Tuesday but it won’t last long. Another big batch of rain is likely Wednesday and Thursday.

High temperatures this week will remain much cooler than average for late August. Tuesday should be a day with 70s and light winds, and with rain falling Wednesday/Thursday, much of the area will remain with highs in the 70s.

As for how much rain we’ll likely receive, expect it to be in the 1-2″ range for locations along and south of I-70. Some of the heaviest of that will fall Wednesday night and Thursday morning, which will no doubt impact morning rush hour and the morning bus stop…
