Preliminary hearing: Kan. felon injured in officer involved shooting

SEDGWICK COUNTY —A Kansas felon wounded by police following a domestic violence call to a home in Wichita will return to court Tuesday.

Daniel James Gabor, 31, will attend a preliminary hearing in Judge Rodger Woods courtroom, according to the Sedgwick County District Attorney’s office. He has been charged with aggravated kidnapping, one count of aggravated domestic battery, one count of domestic battery, one count of interference with law enforcement, and one count of violating a protection order.

Just before 4:30 a.m., June 20, the Sedgwick County Emergency Communications received a 911 call with a woman screaming in the background. The open-line call was traced to a moving location, and Wichita police officers were dispatched to what sounded like an active disturbance without a specific location.
