WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — Drivers in downtown Wichita will soon see more paid parking signs going up. The city says the third phase of its downtown paid parking program begins Tuesday, Sept. 2.
This phase will cover many of the remaining streets in the downtown area. Crews will be installing signs and payment equipment over the next several weeks.

Parking will cost $1 per hour, $5 per day in public lots, and $10 per day in public parking garages. Monthly rates may be available in some lots and garages, depending on availability.
Hours of enforcement are Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Friday and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Parking will remain free outside those hours, except during designated events…
