Wichita, Kan. – Kansans will see a mix of rain, heat, and storms over the next several days, with the most active weather set for midweek. After scattered showers Monday, conditions dry out Tuesday with sunshine and highs near 80 degrees.
According to the National Weather Service in Wichita, thunderstorms are expected to redevelop Wednesday afternoon and evening as a cold front moves across the state. Storms could bring heavy rain, lightning, and gusty winds, especially along the I-35 corridor from Emporia through Wichita to Winfield. Highs will climb into the upper 80s before temperatures drop behind the front.
