Roofer discusses how to manage hail storm damage

WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) – After the intense hail storm Wednesday night, people spent the day looking over the damage done to their homes. But, how do you prove damage to insurance, and how do you know which contractors are reliable?

“We like to know what the insurance company’s calling ‘damaged’, and then go from there to make sure you’re getting your claim handled in a fair and equitable fashion,” said Daryn Keeter, owner of Keeter Roofing and Remodeling.

Keeter is a local roofer who has been in the industry his whole life. He said the best way to assess damage is to look at your house’s soft metals. This includes things like garage doors and gutters.
