National Hispanic Heritage Month launches on Sept. 15, but Wichita can start celebrating with two events this weekend. Both will include music, food and dancing.

Celebrating Latin culture
6 p.m. Friday at Kennedy Plaza; 1 to 10 p.m. Saturday, Evergreen Park
Two big cultural celebrations will happen in Wichita this weekend. The first one is the Herencia Hispana Fest, which starts at 6 p.m. on Friday at Century II’s Kennedy Plaza. It will include music by headliner Pancho Barraza plus Boyz of Kumbia, Hermanos Quintana and Corona de Nietos.
