Authorities on Monday arrested a 37-year-old Wichita man in connection with a deadly shooting over the weekend in Haysville.
Jesse Dean Rau, 43, of Haysville, died Sunday at an area hospital where he had been taken for treatment, the Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release. Authorities found Rau suffering from a gunshot wound around 3 a.m. Sunday after 911 “received an automated crash detection alert from a mobile device” in the 7700 block of South Broadway.
“Haysville Police officers, along with Sedgwick County EMS and Fire District 1, responded and located an SUV that had crashed into a tree,” the release says…
