Heavy rain and flooding

WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) – Parts of Kansas received more than 8 inches of rain and it created flooding across Rice, Ellsworth, Saline, Lincoln, and Ottawa counties. It will take a few days for the high water to recede, but scattered storm chances do continue through Wednesday.

Tuesday will be a mainly dry day, but areas of western Kansas will have a threat of scattered storms in the evening and overnight. Highs will be in the 80s with a south breeze kicking up in the afternoon.

On Wednesday, there’s a chance for storms over central and eastern Kansas through the morning, but in the afternoon it should begin to clear off…
