Shots-fired call near Wichita high school prompts lockdown

A Wichita high school was on a precautionary lockdown Wednesday after a report of shots fired at a nearby convenience store, the Wichita Police Department said on Facebook.

Northwest High School initially called for a full lockdown of the school but later changed that to a “lock-in,” the police department post said.
