WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — WSU Tech is putting a local twist on a popular television show with its second “Shock Tank” competition, where employees pitch bold ideas to improve the college and community.
The event, modeled after “Shark Tank”, invites staff to develop solutions that enhance student success, support employees, or address broader challenges. Four finalists presented their projects on Thursday, with the public, employees, and WSU Tech’s board all getting a say in the outcome.
“We started out with 11 ideas, and we’ve gone to four,” said WSU Tech President Dr. Sheree Utash. “Our board has voted, our employees voted, and now the community votes. One of those will be the lucky winner of Shock Tank this year.”…
