HARVEY COUNTY, Kan. (KSNW) — The Harvey County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the discovery of human remains in a hay field southeast of Newton.
A farmer discovered the remains in a hay field in the 3000 block of South Hillside Road around noon on Wednesday, the Sheriff’s Office said.
The cause of death and the identity of the individual have not been determined. The Harvey County Coroner’s Office is assisting in the investigation.
