WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) – The Wichita Police Department said a man who was shot last week outside of a south Wichita QuikTrip has died.
Knowledge McPherson, 23, of Wichita, died Oct. 1 at a Wichita hospital where he had undergone surgery following the Sept. 30 shooting. It happened just before 3 a.m. in the parking lot of a QuikTrip at Pawnee and Meridian in southwest Wichita.
Wichita police took a 16-year-old boy into custody. The boy was booked into the juvenile facility on charges of criminal discharge of a firearm at an occupied building, juvenile in possession of a firearm, and aggravated battery.
