Dangerous intersection outside Wichita to become four-way stop

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — An intersection near Wichita is getting a much-needed upgrade after it was deemed dangerous.

Sedgwick County commissioners approved of putting a four-way stop at the intersection of West 29th and North 135th streets.

This change comes two months after a crash killed 42-year-old Wichita woman Tiffany M. Jones and left a 26-year-old Maize woman and three children seriously injured. A crash at the same intersection claimed the life of Sedgwick County Deputy Sidnee Carter in 2022.
