Wichita church holds mobile food pantry amid potential SNAP benefit cuts

WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) – A Wichita church gave back to the community on Friday as SNAP benefits potentially run out Saturday.

Progressive Missionary Baptist Church held its monthly mobile food pantry at 1 p.m., where they estimated around 175 cars would come through to receive goods supplied by the Kansas Food Bank.

The church expects to see this number rise in the coming months with the potential suspension of SNAP benefits…
