McPherson College students seek to take their card game national

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — A group of McPherson College students has created an educational card game it plans to launch nationwide.

A Kickstarter campaign has been launched for EcoPyramid, a game based on the ecosystem. Students in the spring 2025 Stewardship Seminar, taught by biology professor Dustin Wilgers, developed the game, which has received a $10,000 grant from the Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks’ Chickadee Checkoff program.

The grant is being used to distribute a copy of the game to every school district in Kansas. But the goal of the Kickstarter campaign is to begin large-scale production for retail and online sales.
