ATF opens a new field office at Wichita State

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) – The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives was at Wichita State University on Friday to announce the opening of its new field office.

The office will be located on WSU’s innovation campus, offering those seeking careers in criminal justice, forensic science and law enforcement an opportunity to gain hands-on experience.

“Law enforcement’s presence on the campus creates one more opportunity for somebody that may have, in the past, had to move someplace else to pursue their career dreams,” Sen. Jerry Moran said. “They can find that opportunity here at Wichita State University on this campus.”
