Authorities say a 33-year-old Newton man is dead after he was hit by a car early Sunday on K-15 highway just south of MacArthur Road.
The man, whose name was not immediately released, died at a Wichita hospital where he was taken for treatment, the Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release.
“The preliminary investigation indicates that a Toyota Camry driven by a 22-year-old Wichita woman was traveling south on K-15 when it struck the man, who was in the roadway. The man was not in a crosswalk, and the reason he was in the roadway remains under investigation,” the news release says…
