Family mourning, hoping for clarity after woman killed in Butler County rollover crash

BUTLER COUNTY, Kan. (KWCH) -A family mourning the death of a daughter and mother is hoping for clarity into what led up to the fatal rollover crash in which 27-year-old Harley Wright was killed, and her two sons were injured.

The crash happened late Sunday night or early Monday morning near NW 30th and NW Tawakoni Road. At about 1:13 a.m., Butler County 911 received a report of a single-vehicle rollover crash near the intersection north of Benton. Wright, of Wichita, died at the scene. Her sons, ages 5 and 6, were taken to a Wichita area hospital with serous injuries.

Wright’s family said that at about 7 p.m. Sunday, Wright and her two sons left a family gathering, heading toward Towanda. After nearly six hours, the family realized that she’d never reached her destination and they went searching for her…
