Sedgwick County deputy arrested on Missouri warrant

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — A Sedgwick County detention deputy has been arrested on a felony warrant from Missouri.

The deputy, a 20-year-old Derby resident, was pulled over by Derby police Sunday for a traffic violation, the Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office said.

During the traffic stop, police learned the deputy had a felony warrant in Missouri on suspicion of first-degree harassment and threatening nonconsensual dissemination of private sexual images. He was booked into the Sedgwick County Detention Center and is awaiting extradition to Missouri.
