A recent post on social media has sparked a heated debate about the fairness of end-of-tenancy cleaning fees. The post, shared by a tenant who had just moved out of a flat, detailed an experience with a landlord who charged an exorbitant cleaning fee. The tenant and three flatmates had cleaned the flat to what they believed was a reasonable standard and had even hired a gardener to mow the lawn and weed the garden.
