Vietnam veteran finds healing after moving to Wichita

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — A Kansas veteran survived an ambush during the Vietnam War, even though he was vastly outnumbered.

“We was ambushed. A company of us which was 104 people were ambushed by 5,000 Vietnamese. And we were pinned down, and 34 of us walked out of there the next day,” Larry Leggett said.
