DERBY, Kan. (KWCH) – In Derby, speculation is swirling that that Rock Regional Hospital could soon be closing its doors.
While there are multiple rumors going around about the hospital’s future, Rock Regional lab technician Barry Clayton said he and other employees feel left in the dark about the hospital’s future. Some said they’ve heard that the facility could close as soon as next week.
“From my perspective we don’t know what’s going on here,” Clayton said. “We’re just being told they’re trying to negotiate something to keep this hospital open but we have no specifics.”
Hospital officials decline to comment
Rock Regional Chief Operating Officer Ryan Brooks declined to provide details about the hospital’s status, saying in a statement: “We have nothing to share at this time.”…
