WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — A local nonprofit will host two public informational meetings this month on a proposed 1-cent sales tax in Wichita.
Wichita Forward, a coalition of business and community leaders, will hold its first session Monday evening at the Advanced Learning Library from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. A second meeting is scheduled for Monday, Dec. 15, at the same time and place.
“The intent of both meetings is [to] provide Wichitans with an opportunity to learn about the proposal, ask questions, and understand the potential impact the plan will have on the local economy,” the nonprofit said.
