WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) – A cold front is sweeping across Kansas and today will be much colder than Tuesday. Steady and/or falling temperatures in the middle to upper 30s will feel like the 20s when you factor in the gusty north wind between 15 and 25 mph. Thursday looks even colder with highs in the upper 20s and lower 30s, but we’ll have less wind and some sunshine.
While the Wichita area may see a flurry or two this evening, far western Kansas is looking at scattered snow showers today and up to an inch of accumulation, mainly along and west of Colby to Dodge City line.
After we see milder temperatures in the 40s on Friday and Saturday, yet another cold front moving across Kansas will send us back into the upper 30s and lower 40s on Sunday. However, while gusty winds are likely with its passage, the risk of rain and/or snow is very low…
