WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) – Boeing signs were installed outside of Spirit Aerosystems’ facilities on Friday as the aerospace acquisition moves toward completion this month.
Spirit confirmed this week the deal will close by the end of December. At the administrative building, Boeing signage replaced a Spirit sign.
Boeing sold its Wichita manufacturing division in June of 2005. That division became Spirit Aerosystems. By the end of this year, Spirit is expected to officially become a part of Boeing again.
