As the search for a missing Wichita man stretches into a new week, authorities are now asking people who live near Lake Afton to check their home security cameras and properties for any sign that Ian Alexander Shelton wandered by.
Shelton, 30, has been missing from the lake since 2:12 a.m. Dec. 3. The Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office says his safety may be at risk because he “may have been experiencing a mental health crisis at the time of his disappearance” and wasn’t dressed to withstand cold outdoor weather.
Detectives are asking residents who live between 231st Street West and 263rd Street West between 31st Street South and 55th Street South to check their doorbell cameras, security systems and any recorded video captured in the 12-hour window between 2:15 a.m. and 2 p.m. Dec. 3…
