WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — In a tradition that’s kept spokes spinning for decades, Bicycle X-Change donated over 20 bikes to The Pando Initiative on Tuesday.
The Pando Initiative is a nonprofit that helps students at 30 schools across Sedgwick County succeed in education. During the holidays, it provides students with basic necessities, including a way to get to school.

“The students that we serve, it’s the little things,” President and CEO Niki Childers said. “And something as simple as a bicycle to ride to school, a bicycle to have under the tree, it means a lot because oftentimes that is a luxury, and we want to be able to provide for that happiness over the holidays.”
