WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) – A huge warm up on Thursday will put some areas near record highs, but a sharp drop is on the way for the start of the weekend and Arctic air will settle in for Saturday and Sunday.
Some of the records that will be in jeopardy include Garden City (rec. 69), Colby (rec. 70), and Russell (rec. 66). Sunshine and southwest winds will be common.
A front moves through Thursday night, bringing highs back to the 40s on Friday, but it get much colder over the weekend. Highs will fall to the 30s and much of Saturday could be fairly cloudy. Sunshine may come back on Sunday, but it will be quite cold with highs remaining in the 30s…
