Weekend cold snap

WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) – Another cold front will arrive today that will push Arctic air into the Kansas for about 24 hours. One of the coldest mornings ahead will be Sunday, where lows will drop into the single digits and teens, but it won’t be sticking around for very long.

Today, morning dense fog in western Kansas, then clouds will start to increase for the afternoon as northeast winds pick up and the colder air starts to move in. Highs will mainly be in the 30s and 40s and some of the wind gusts approaching 30 mph.

Lighter winds return heading into Sunday, but wind chills will still be single digits. It will be sunny for the afternoon with highs near 30 (central/east), but approaching 40 in western Kansas…
