WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) – Bringing cheer to those who need it most, the Wichita Police Department hosted its annual holiday feast Sunday, welcoming dozens of families for a day of food, gifts, and celebration.
The event began 17 years ago as a way to support families who had recently experienced tragedy.
“We started with one family, and now we’ve grown to where we have over 15 families, and over 53 kids participating in the event this year,” event founder and WPD Sergeant Kenneth Kimble said.
