WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) – U.S. Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy toured Wichita aerospace facilities Sunday with Sen. Jerry Moran, addressing the aviation industry and aircraft safety concerns.
Duffy and Moran visited Boeing, Textron and the National Institute of Aerospace Research to learn more about the region’s aerospace industry.
Aviation safety concerns addressed
Moran addressed recent aviation safety concerns, referencing recent air disasters including Flight 5342.
“I think changes have been made,” Moran said. “I have a lot of faith in NTSB… they have impressed me in this circumstance and others… and their expertise is something that I think Congress ought to be paying attention to.”…
