Area fire crews prepare for busy day as wildfire threat looms

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — Dangerously strong winds are expected to impact Kansas Thursday. Combined with the state’s already dry conditions, the risk of wildfire is increasing.

The threat has fire departments across Kansas preparing for a potentially busy day. On Wednesday, crews checked trucks and gear to ensure they were ready to respond to any calls.
