Widespread sickness ends Kansas school district’s semester early

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — Students and staff in a southern Kansas school district are starting their holiday break early, but unfortunately, it’s due to a high number of illnesses.

Dexter USD 471 announced on Monday that, because so many students and staff are sick, classes have been dismissed early for the semester.

“We are going through a tremendous amount of sickness right now and it seems to be spreading at a very high rate,” the district said on social media…
