Nathaniel Porrata had big plans for his family. The father recently moved to a new city and anxiously awaited the arrival of his wife, Tyne Blunt, and their 4-year-old son, Tiuri Blunt-Porrata. But those dreams were shattered on December 8, 2025, when authorities in Wichita, Kansas, got a call about an unresponsive child at River Walk Apartments in Topeka. Emergency responders rushed Tiuri to the hospital, but doctors declared him dead a short time later. Police arrested Blunt, who faces a murder charge in her son’s death.
According to court documents obtained by KAKE, police first took a man named Daniel Martin into custody in connection with Tiuri’s death.
