Social media feud led to fight, acid attack on Wichita teen. Woman sentenced

A second Wichita woman has been sentenced to 34 months in prison for her role in an acid attack last year that left a teenage girl with second-degree burns on her face.

Tayronnia West, 19, pleaded guilty in September to one count of reckless aggravated battery in the May 2024 attack. She was among three teens who went to the 400 block of North Dodge so she could fight the victim in person after a months-long social media feud.

Court records say as West rang the victim’s doorbell to draw her out, one of her friends poured Liquid Fire drain line opener into a cup. Another teenage girl tossed the chemical into the victim’s face as she and West started to brawl…
